Former Rugby World Cup winning All Black legend and ISPS Handa ambassador, Dan Carter, was speaking at a launch event in Elm Park Golf Club this week as Golf Ireland and ISPS Handa announced a new partnership. This agreement aims to grow participation in Ireland for golfers with a disability. 

The ISPS Handa Irish Open for Golfers with Disabilities will now have ISPS Handa as its title sponsor thanks to this ground-breaking new deal.

At the 2024 competition, which will be held at the Roganstown Golf Club in County Dublin, golfers with a variety of disabilities will face off against competitors from both Ireland and beyond.

ISPS Handa will also take over as the primary partner of Golf Ireland’s Golf4All initiatives.A variety of activities and programs are included in Golf4ALL to encourage persons with disabilities to learn the game and improve their skills.

At the launch event Mark Kennelly, CEO of Golf Ireland said: “We are very excited to announce this partnership with ISPS Handa. ISPS Handa are committed supporters of golf globally in particular supporting golfers with a disability. In our strategic plan, Golf Ireland committed to grow participation levels for golfers with a disability and this support from ISPS Handa will help us encourage more people with disabilities to try golf.”

Golf Ireland’s Golf4All programmes showcase the benefits of golf for everyone and will broaden participation among golfers with disabilities.
