We are looking for our next administration + marketing super-star to join our team based at Castlecliff Golf Club.
In the role you will be responsible for supporting our manager and executive with every day administrative duties.
In many cases you will be the first point of contact our clients have with our company – so an approachable, friendly, and professional personality is a must.
Time management, attention to detail and being able to work well under pressure, along with the ability to constantly prioritising your work are all key strengths to succeed in this varied role. Although you will have people to report to, you will need to be able to work independently and manage your own workload, as well as managing the office to ensure smooth day to day running.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
- General
- Be responsible for serving members and visitors in the pro-shop/office collecting green fees, cart hire and golf shop purchases.
- Be able to serve any patrons if required during liquor licence hours.
- Be the contact person for clubroom hireage for functions, making sure caterer is given first option for catering for all functions.
- Some cover will be required when Club Manager is away; some basic day to day administrative routines will be required.
- Support the sub-committees if required.
- Communication with all members, players and the public is positive, supportive and encouraging and ably interprets and enforces “The Rules of Golf” and club policies, rules and regulations.
- Maintain an orderly appearance in the Proshop.
2. Marketing
- Support the membership and marketing by developing strategies and managing publicity and marketing programmes.
- Liaise with current sponsors and help find more sponsors and sponsorship ideas to the club.
- Drive our new corporate memberships.
- Plans, promotes and directs golf activities and assists in the development of short and long term plans for club facilities and the course.
- Promote the club and golf course in a positive way.
- Explore appropriate advertising opportunities for the club.
- Use social media platforms to help build our club on a wider scale.
To succeed in this role you will need:
- Proven skills to complete the tasks
- Knowledge of the game of golf preferred as well as club and business procedures
- Demonstrate initiative and flexibility
- Friendly and supportive manner
- Demonstrated communication skills
- Ability to work alone or part of a team
- Ability to accept responsibility as delegated by the Club Manager
- Computer/Xero proficient
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise
- A commitment to quality and accuracy
