Golf New Zealand Korowhā Aotearoa (GOLF NZ) is a not-for profit charitable trust established in 1910 as the governing body for golf in New Zealand responsible for leading, growing and supporting the game. Golf is the most played sport in New Zealand with over half a million Kiwis playing each year at one of the 390 clubs throughout the country.

Golf New Zealand is focused on inspiring increased participation in golf through a range of initiatives, programmes and support services that grow the game and promote diversity and inclusion within the sector. 

The key purpose of this role is to support the implementation of Golf New Zealand’s Disability Action Plan and to inspire more young people and adults with a disability to start, play, and grow a love of golf.  

Key responsibilities will include:  

  • Promote, organize, and support the delivery of Golf New Zealand’s series of regional and national tournaments for disability.   
  • Plan and coordinate nationwide opportunities with a focus on providing and growing the participation of young people and adults with a disability.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive, strong, and collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders within the golf, disability sports and organisation’s working with disabled peoples in the community.   
  • Create learning opportunities for the golf sector to improve the capability of people delivering experiences for people starting, learning, and playing golf, who live with a disability.
