Ryan Fox is returning home to host the fourth edition of The Fox Fishing & Golf Festival at Waihī Beach. The event has raised more than $100,000 for Waihī Beach Volunteer Coastguard and Waihī Beach Lifeguard Services since it first started in 2020.
“I’m stoked to be coming home to host The Fox Fishing & Golf Festival once again,” Fox told the NZ Herald. “It’s going to be a great weekend for people to come together and have some fun and friendly competition, while also supporting two important local charities.”
The Fox Fishing & Golf Festival takes place on three days (December 7-9) in a team format combining fishing and golf.
Alongside Fox are his celebrity captains including Ryan’s father, All Blacks legend Grant Fox, former European Tour golf champion Mark Brown, Eric Murray, Olympic trampoline bronze medallist Dylan Schmidt and Olympic rowing gold medallist Tom Mackintosh.
Fox, 44, is enjoying a great year having won the BMW PGA Championship in September at Wentworth, England.
