An exciting opportunity exists for a suitably qualified candidate to head the on-going development of a busy golf club located in an attractive semi-rural setting.
The Pukekohe Golf Club has an opportunity for a skilled management professional to join its team.
The Club:
Located 30 minutes from the Auckland CBD, Pukekohe Golf Club is one of New Zealand’s finest country courses. It provides exceptional golf facilities and services to members, guests, and the community that reflect the club’s values and reinforce a positive club culture.
The course, surrounded by mature trees, lakes with fountains and countless birds and other fauna provides varied tee options that will challenge golfers of all abilities. An experience not to miss.
The position:
The position reports to the Chair of the Club’s Board. While golfing or a sporting background would be valuable, it is not vital. Proven successful management in a business or similar organization would be advantageous.
Key Attributes:
The role will be to oversee the daily running of our club including:
- Ensuring smooth day-to-day running of the club and all applicable compliance responsibilities.
- Exceptional stakeholder management including members, guests, local government, and other organizations as required.
- Financial Management and administration.
- Marketing and promotional work to secure and retain business partnerships.
- Overseeing all staff and managing all staff-related matters.
- Assisting with running club tournaments and events.
- A prominent level of focus on providing great customer experience.
Qualifications:
Qualifications and Skills that would be beneficial.
- Tertiary qualifications in Sports Management, Business Management, Marketing or a related field
- A knowledge of the game of golf
- Liquor Control Qualification (LCQ).
- Current Bar Managers Certificate in accordance with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012.
