We are on the lookout for someone to take our course to the next level and be the best we can be.
Reporting to the Club Manager, you will be responsible for
- The preparation and maintenance of the course and its surrounds
- Supervision, leadership, and training of greenkeeping and maintenance staff
- The maintenance of all green keeping plant and machinery, purchasing of all soils, seeds, manures, sprays, and other goods and services as required.
- All new construction on the course and new developments that may be required by the Club from time to time.
- Setting benchmark standards and supervising technical work such as pesticide application, fertilization, and equipment maintenance and equipment operations.
- Working within budgets and develop and report against the Club’s Course Plan.
To be successful in this challenging yet extremely rewarding role, you will have:
- Extensive experience in planning and maintenance of a public or private golf course.
- Experience in the application of modern Sports Turf Management methodologies and knowledge in the management of Commercial Irrigation Systems
- Project Management skills with a keen eye for detail with the ability to identify and solve problems quickly and efficiently.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build working relationships with a range of stakeholders
- Proven leadership skills, a team player who leads by example.
- Be highly motivated, enthusiastic and thrive under pressure.
- Have a proactive approach to planning with a focus on continuous improvement.
- A relevant Golf Course Turf Maintenance Qualification
- Accreditation in Chemical Applications and Safe Handling
- Demonstrated knowledge of WHS Legislative Requirements
- Financial and budgeting skills
