Windross Farm Golf Course, one of the premier golf facilities in New Zealand and located 25km south of the Auckland CBD, is looking for a Golf Operations Manager to join their leadership team.

Working closely with the General Manager, your essential functions will be:

  • Lead the retail operations and shop presentation and grow/manage sales performance. 
  • Selling, planning and executing Corporate Golf events and visitor golf bookings.
  • Manage the golf fixture and provide administrative support and guidance to the Golf Committee. 
  • Promote green fee sales, driving range utilisation, and golf cart revenue. 
  • Responsible for improving work procedures, creating efficiencies and enhancing the overall quality of service and facility presentation.
  • Support the development of budgets/reforecasts and responsibility for the financial performance of the golf operations department. 
  • Responsible for improving work procedures, creating efficiencies, and enhancing the overall quality of service and facility presentation.
  • Assist the General Manager with managing and enhancing staff performance through leading by example and supporting the reviews process. 
  • Support promotion of the Club through the agreed digital media channels.

The successful applicant will be:

  • Tertiary qualification in Sport/Leisure sector preferable and/or demonstrated capacity to fulfil the essential job functions. 
  • Minimum three-years’ experience in a Senior Management or sales role. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a small team of professionals.
  • Passionate about the golf industry.
  • Attentive to detail and has an eagerness lead and implement change.

Ideal work week will be Tuesday to Saturday – subject to business demand, daytime hours predominant.
