Lydia Ko won the Golf Performance of the Year Award at the National Golf Awards, adding yet another honor to her amazing resume of athletic accomplishments.
The honor was given in recognition of her outstanding 2022 campaign, during which she won three tournaments, including the CME Group Tour Championship.
At the awards, New Zealand’s top golf clubs, golfing facilities, and industry professionals and volunteers alike received official recognition for their outstanding efforts and services to the sport.
The underlying denominator shared by all award winners and nominees, according to Golf New Zealand CEO Jeff Latch, was their unwavering passion for the game and their desire to spread that zeal among other golfers. from recreational “hackers” who wander the fairways with their friends on the weekends to professional athletes.
