Waitemata Golf Club, based near Devonport on Auckland’s North Shore, has appointed a new general manager.
Jamie Palmer, who was previously general manager at the now closed Gulf Harbour Country Club, has taken over the reigns at the National Golf Awards 2019 Club of the Year.
In a newsletter to its members, Palmer said: “I have been fortunate to experience a warm genuine, welcome to this club. I believe that our club should not only be a place for golf enthusiasts but also a welcoming environment for your families, friends, and loved ones. I intend to incorporate them into our activities, ensuring that everyone can enjoy our environment together, both on the course and across the social community of the club.”
Palmer was also previously Club Manager at Houghton Hall in the UK.
