Wanganui Golf Club, Belmont Links, is seeking a full time Assistant Greenkeeper to join its team and maintain its 18 hole course. Wanganui Golf Club is a great regional club that caters for all levels of golf with a thriving active membership.
The successful applicant will report directly to its course superintendent and be responsible for assisting with all areas of turf management, and the day-to-day grooming of the course. They are looking for the following skills and attributes:
- Keen interest in golf.
- Be self-motivated & have good planning & communication skills
- Have good time management & people skills
- Be reliable with good course knowledge & a passion for course presentation
- Have a good understanding of Health & Safety in the work environment, and be able to use chemicals & hold Standard Growsafe certification
- Knowledge of irrigation systems
- Proficient in golf course equipment care
- Be physically fit & enjoy working outdoors
- Early morning starts & some weekend work will be required, but hours are flexible where appropriate
- Have a current clean drivers licence
Salary is commensurate with experience.
