The Lodge at Kauri Cliffs, consistently ranked among the world’s top golf resorts, is seeking a dynamic Head Golf Professional to lead our golf operations and deliver an exceptional guest experience. About the Role
As Head Golf Professional, you will oversee all aspects of the golf operation, ensuring the highest standards of service and performance. You’ll work closely with the CEO, ownership, and senior leaders across the property, collaborating with the Golf Course Superintendent and Lodge Manager to create a seamless experience for our guests.
This role requires independence, strong leadership, and the ability to make sound decisions using technical expertise and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire the golf team, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Manage all golf operations: tee times, caddie program, practice facilities, and clubhouse.
- Oversee retail operations, including inventory control, merchandising, and trend analysis.
- Maintain and manage the golf cart fleet and locker rooms.
- Develop and execute operational procedures and budgets.
- Drive domestic golf sales and promotional initiatives.
- Ensure exceptional guest service and uphold health & safety standards.
- Represent Kauri Cliffs in the golf industry, building relationships with suppliers, agents, and organizations.
What We’re Looking For
- PGA Membership (or equivalent) from an internationally recognized organization.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a high-service golf operation.
- Undergraduate degree preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Expertise in golf operations, merchandising, and customer service.
- Ability to teach golf to PGA standards.
