OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY:

To manage Onewhero Golf Club’s Golf Shop facilities and assist Club Manager with most operations of Golf Club so that you can effectively cover Club Manager’s position if need arises.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

–   Responsible for ensuring adequate stock on hand (gear, food, drink) for coming week/month, monthly stock take, entering purchases

–   Collects fees and subscriptions

–   Sells and rents golf equipment and supplies

–   Responsible for cash and balancing cash receipts during assigned shift (operating a cash register and Eftpos machine), coding, cash reconciliation of weekly banking

–   Maintains appropriate records and receipts

–   Update websites with results, course changes, news, etc

–   Weekly and monthly input/reconciliation of scramble/competition golf shop credits

–   Maintains excellent customer service with Members, visitors and other employees

–   Maintains the Pro Shop in a clean, neat and organized manner, well-presented stock

–   Assists with tournaments and competitions, including becoming proficient with DotGolf software in setting up tournaments and card printing, card entry, etc

–   Takes bookings, ensures calendar is up-to-date with bookings/competitions

–   Responsible for renting of golf carts, including their safe return, cleaning, maintenance, recharging and lock-up

–   Responsible for security of assets of Golf Shop at all times

–   Ability to work weekend shifts 2 weekends at least month (hours generally 7.00am – 4.30pm)

–   Must arrive at work on time; and

–   Must maintain a regular and reliable attendance of position

–   Have or willing to get a mangers certificate or LCQ

Ability to make change accurately and receive and account for money; ability to meet and work with Club members and the general public in a friendly and courteous manner; ability to work without direct supervision and be accountable for decisions; able to cover weekdays and weekends where possible when Club Manager away from Club House.
