New Zealand golfer Ben Campbell has achieved a career-defining performance at LIV Golf Singapore, finishing third and earning US$1.5 million (NZ$2.6 million).
The 33-year-old Kiwi, originally from Masterton but now based in Queenstown, has shot up to 11th place in the individual standings after his impressive showing at the season’s fourth tournament.
“It was big,” said Campbell, who competed as an alternate last year but now plays full-time with the Range Goats GC team. “I was very frustrated last week in Hong Kong to not play that great. So worked hard early on this week and made a few little changes. It was good.”
Campbell delivered consistent rounds of 67, 68, and 68 to finish at 11-under par, behind champion Joaquin Niemann (17-under) and five-time major winner Brooks Koepka (12-under). His performance in the final round was particularly noteworthy, hitting all 14 fairways with exceptional accuracy.
This strong result significantly advances Campbell’s goal of securing a top-24 Lock Zone finish, which would guarantee him a full-time spot for the 2026 season. With nine events remaining in the 13-tournament league, Campbell has already accumulated $4.5 million in prize money this year.
Fellow New Zealander Danny Lee finished in 32nd place after shooting a five-over 76 in the final round.
