Due to the departure of our Greens (Course) Superintendent, we have the exciting opportunity for a Greens (Course) Superintendent to join our team based in Swanson, Auckland.
As our Greens (Course) Superintendent, you will be responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and development of the golf course and grounds of Redwood Park Golf Club.
Your responsibilities include:
- Maintaining the course in optimal playing condition, including fairway mowing, greens mowing, bunker maintenance, and tee mowing and maintenance.
- Operating the irrigation system efficiently and complying with Resource Consent conditions.
- Managing grounds staff, including training and rostering.
- Identifying and controlling fungal diseases, insect pests, and weed problems using appropriate chemicals.
- Overseeing asset and fleet management, including machinery upkeep and maintenance.
- Planning and reporting to the Board, submitting budgets and reports on course operations.`
As the successful candidate, you will have:
- A tertiary qualification in Turf Management equivalent to degree level/level 5.
- Approved Handlers certification.
- First Aid Certificate.
- 2-5 years of experience as a Course Superintendent at a medium-sized golf club.
- Proven experience in staff and budget management.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite and effective communication skills.
- The ability to plan, prioritize, and coordinate tasks within deadlines.
- Physical dexterity for tasks such as lifting, bending, and operating machinery.
