An exciting opportunity exists for a suitably qualified and experienced candidate to head the management and planned redevelopment of a busy golf club situated on the North Shore of Auckland.

The Club:
The 27-hole, 1300-member North Shore Golf Club is unique among Auckland golf clubs. Three different 9- or 18-hole playing options are provided for members to choose from. With flowing fairways surrounded by native trees and birdlife, the course provides for a relaxing 4 hours of enjoyment. Member facilities are first rate.
Coupled with a planned exciting redevelopment programme, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to shape strategy, uphold core values and guide the club’s continued growth. clubs. We
The position:
The position reports to the Chair of the Club’s Board. While a golfing or a sporting background would be highly advantageous, it is not essential. Proven successful management of a club, business or similar organization would be highly advantageous.
Key Attributes:
The Club is seeking to appoint a new General Manager to provide overall strategic and operational leadership.
The role will be to oversee the daily running of the club including:
- Smooth day-to-day running of the club and all applicable compliance responsibilities.
- Strong financial management and administration experience.
- Successful track record of project and change management
- Marketing and promotional work experience to secure and retain business partnerships.
- Developing and leading high performing teams and instilling disciplines, technology, management structures and governance to deliver an outstanding membership/guest experience.
- Assisting with running of club tournaments and events.
- Exceptional stakeholder management including members, guests, local government, and other organizations.
Qualifications:
Qualifications and skills that would be beneficial.
- Tertiary qualification
- Liquor Control Qualification (LCQ).
- Current Bar Managers Certificate in accordance with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012.
