
North Shore Golf Club (NSGC) is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the position of Golf Course Superintendent.
NSGC is a 27-hole private members’ golf club situated in Albany on the North Shore in Auckland. The Club is home to 1200 members and the course attracts approximately 75-85,000 rounds per annum. The NSGC is focused on being the ‘golf club destination of choice’ on Auckland’s North Shore and this goal needs to be supported by the development and implementation of a suitable course master plan.
This is a unique opportunity to join the senior management team and deliver a positive outcome for a club that is looking to deliver significant change in the coming years and needs a leader who can contribute towards this direction and deliver meaningful outcomes on time and on budget.
The Golf Course Superintendent will be responsible for all course maintenance, agronomic operations, budget control and personnel.
We are seeking applicants who are highly motivated with the following:
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
- In depth knowledge of all aspects of agronomy and hold recognised turf diploma/certificate
- Ability and experience to prepare surfaces to meet the needs of the members
- Experience in construction and grow-in of new developments
- Budgetary Management
- Sound and proven knowledge of health & safety, pesticide and hazardous substances legislation
- Experience with managing a fleet of machinery and plant equipment
- Experience with Site-Pro irrigation management system or similar
- Experience with the management of warm season and cool season grasses.
- A suitable remuneration package will be available.
