Boulcott’s Farm Heritage Golf Club is one of Wellington’s busiest and most vibrant clubs, boasting a strong membership base and a thriving clubhouse community. We are now seeking a proactive, qualified, and enthusiastic Golf Course Superintendent to lead our course and team into an exciting new chapter.
After many years operating under tight financial constraints, the Club is soon to be debt-free and ready to invest in the future. We are focused on elevating course presentation, delivering key development projects, and aligning with modern playing expectations and environmental standards.
This role represents a genuine opportunity for a motivated professional to make their mark by shaping the long-term direction of one of the region’s most popular golf courses.
The Role
As Superintendent, you will be responsible for:
- Leading and mentoring a dedicated course team to achieve exceptional course presentation and playability.
- Developing and delivering a long-term course improvement plan, including irrigation, turf, and layout initiatives.
- Overseeing all aspects of course maintenance, project planning, budgeting, and compliance.
- Managing plant, machinery, and equipment to ensure efficiency and reliability.
- Championing environmental sustainability and modern turf management practices.
About You
You will bring:
- Proven experience in golf course management or a senior turf management role.
- Relevant turf or horticultural qualifications.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire and develop your team.
- A passion for golf course excellence and continuous improvement.
- The ability to plan strategically while maintaining a strong focus on day-to-day delivery.
