Golf New Zealand has partnered with Kerali Golf Ltd, a newly established golf events company, to manage a series of Golf New Zealand events.
Kerali Golf Ltd, led by directors Alison Wieringa and Kerry McFadyen, will take over the organisation of the New Zealand Women’s Autumn Cup, New Zealand Mid-Amateur Championship, New Zealand Women’s Senior Foursomes, and New Zealand Mixed Foursomes Championship in 2025, as well as the New Zealand Women’s Seniors in 2026.
For years, Denise Langdon of PaR nz Golfing Holidays played a pivotal role in managing and delivering some of New Zealand’s most beloved golf events. However, as of the end of 2024, Denise decided to step back from event management to concentrate more on the travel-focused aspects of her business. Her departure marks the end of an era, but it also paves the way for a fresh chapter under the stewardship of Kerali Golf Ltd.
Beginning in 2025, Kerali Golf Ltd will oversee several prestigious tournaments. Their first two events will be the New Zealand Women’s Autumn Cup, set to take place at Mercury Bay Golf Club from March 24–26, and the New Zealand Mid-Amateur Championship, scheduled for Omanu Golf Club over Easter Weekend from April 18–20. These tournaments, known for their enthusiastic participants and competitive spirit, are set to continue thriving under new management.
Golf New Zealand’s General Manager of Championships and Golf Operations, Dave Mangan, spoke warmly about the transition.
“These events have become staples of the New Zealand golf calendar, attracting loyal participants year after year. We’re confident that Alison and Kerry from Kerali Golf Ltd will maintain this tradition of excellence. At the same time, we want to express our deep gratitude to Denise and the team at PaR nz Golfing Holidays. They’ve set an incredibly high standard for event delivery in this country, and their contributions to the game have been invaluable. We wish Denise and Kim the very best as they focus on new endeavors. Denise will continue to support the 2025 New Zealand Women’s Seniors and Women’s Masters tournaments and assist with Rules at the 2025 NZ Open, so her involvement with New Zealand golf is far from over.”
Kerry McFadyen, co-director of Kerali Golf Ltd, expressed her enthusiasm for the opportunity. “We are absolutely delighted to partner with Golf New Zealand to host these incredible tournaments. Our goal is to create memorable events that bring golfers together from across the country. We’re excited to work closely with local golf clubs, foster friendly competition, and ensure every participant has a fantastic experience.”
The change in management signifies not only a continuation of these beloved tournaments but also a chance to inject new ideas and energy into the events. With Kerali Golf Ltd at the helm, the future of these championships promises to be as bright as their storied past.
