Carrington Golf Resort and Winery is situated in Karikari Peninsula of Far North district of NZ, our Resort complex among the lodges and villas comprises over 100 rooms, restaurants, bars, a winery and multiple conference facilities. We are currently seeking a maintenance person to join our busy team. Must be a “jack of all trades”, full-time hours. Ideally, you are familiar with plumbing, electrical, and sewer system Key responsibilities of this role,
- Act fast to resolve emergency issues, such as power outages, problem-solving attitude
- Assisting with all functions of the property and all aspects of building maintenance.
- Ensuring that the property is always presented to the highest standard.
- Taking a hands-on approach to a varied workday with tasks including general repairs, painting, long-term maintenance projects and preventative maintenance.
- Assisting with record keeping of maintenance work and repairs to plant equipment.
- Responding to issues and special requests in a timely manner with creative solutions.
- inspect the resort regularly to ensure it meets safety standards, and carry out routine maintenance in hotel rooms and facilities. Carry out any repair jobs in a manner that does not disturb guests.
- Playing an active part in all aspects of health & safety ensuring that guests, visitors, and team members are safe at all times.
- Complete daily plant rounds to ensure that all systems are functioning correctly and
- Complete all job requests in a timely manner.
- General maintenance of the grounds including spraying, Weed eating, mowing lawns, trimming shrubs, gardening
- Any other such duties that may from time to time be assigned by the management The ideal applicant will:
- Have proven experience in all aspects of hotel property maintenance or building maintenance.
- Have previous trade experience.
- Hold a current New Zealand Drivers License.
- Work unsupervised and meet deadlines.
