PARAPARAUMU Beach NZ Golf Business

The legendary Paraparaumu Beach course will make its long-awaited return to professional golf when it hosts the New Zealand PGA Championship from February 19–22. More than two decades have passed since the Tour last visited this distinguished links layout north of Wellington—a 2002 New Zealand Open won by Craig Parry, memorable for featuring Tiger Woods at the peak of his powers as world number one. The venue’s rich heritage includes staging the 1959 NZ PGA Championship, making this comeback a significant chapter in the tournament’s evolution.

Sky Sport New Zealand will provide comprehensive coverage of the championship, underscoring its position among Australasia’s elite golf tournaments.

The New Zealand swing proceeds to Queenstown’s Millbrook Resort for the 105th edition of the New Zealand Open, scheduled for February 26–March 1. Home-grown talents Ben Campbell, Steven Alker, Daniel Hillier and Kazuma Kobori will compete as they attempt to close the gap on Order of Merit frontrunner Christopher Wood, fresh from his Ford NSW Open triumph.

The Tour’s summer schedule launches with four Webex Players Series events before touching down in New Zealand. Royal Fremantle Golf Club opens proceedings with the Webex Players Series Perth from January 8–11, where siblings Minjee and Min Woo Lee serve as tournament hosts. The action shifts to 13th Beach Golf Links for the Vic Open (January 15–18), then to Rosebud Country Club for the Webex Players Series Victoria (January 22–25) under the stewardship of Olympic representative Marcus Fraser. The Webex Players Series Murray River honours Jarrod Lyle at Cobram-Barooga Golf Club (January 29–February 1), before Castle Hill Country Club welcomes back the Webex Players Series Sydney with Peter O’Malley (February 5–8).

March delivers the season’s conclusion, beginning with the Heritage Classic at The Heritage Golf & Country Club (March 12–15) and culminating in The National Tournament at The National Golf Club (March 26–29). New Zealand viewers can watch via Sky Sport, while Australian audiences have access through Kayo and Foxtel.
