Moghu Research Center and Moghu USA (collectively “Moghu”) have announced regulatory approvals for PoaCure herbicide in Chile and New Zealand for recreational turf applications. With these approvals as of October 20, 2025, PoaCure now has market authorization in six countries spanning four continents: South Korea, Japan, the United States, Australia, Chile, and New Zealand.
The company has broadened its collaboration with Colin Campbell Chemicals to distribute PoaCure throughout New Zealand, where turf professionals can access the product through PGG Wrightson Turf. This partnership extends Moghu’s reach across the Oceania region.
Chile represents PoaCure’s first South American market entry, facilitated through a new partnership with ATurf. The company is led by Dr. Alejandra Acuña, a turf industry specialist who provides tailored solutions to Chilean turf professionals. Dr. Acuña holds a Ph.D. in Agronomy and Crop Science from The Ohio State University (2010) and brings substantial turfgrass expertise from her background in academia and private consulting.
“Moghu Research Center has worked with trusted partners around the world to deliver new chemistry against one of turf’s most challenging weeds,” said Suk-Jin Koo, CEO of Moghu Research Center and Moghu USA. “We believe the unique mode of action of methiozolin will help turf professionals address Poa annua and other problematic weeds. Moghu Research Center and Moghu USA will continue pursuing new solutions for additional regions and use sites.”
