Maraenui Golf Club is seeking a Qualified Greenkeeper to join our passionate team in Napier, Hawkes Bay. This is a full-time role where you’ll play a key part in maintaining the high-quality playing surfaces and well-presented grounds our members and visitors enjoy.
What you’ll be doing
- Carrying out all greenkeeping duties including mowing, aerating, fertilising and top-dressing to ensure the course is in peak condition
- Monitoring and maintaining irrigation systems to optimise water usage and turf health
- Identifying and addressing any turf or soil health issues to prevent and treat disease or damage
- Performing general grounds maintenance tasks such as hedge trimming, edging and litter removal
- Assisting with the operation and maintenance of all greenkeeping equipment
- Contributing to the development and implementation of course management plans and strategies
- Providing excellent customer service to club members and visitors
What we’re looking for
- Completed qualification in Horticulture, Turf Management or a related field
- 3-5 years’ experience as a greenkeeper or in a similar role
- Demonstrated expertise in maintaining high-quality golf course playing surfaces
- Strong understanding of turf management principles, soil health and sustainable practices
- Ability to operate and maintain a range of greenkeeping equipment
- Excellent problem-solving, time management and attention to detail
- Collaborative team player with a positive, customer-focused attitude
