Abu Dhabi has just hosted The World Golf Awards and revealed which club picked up the title of ‘World’s Best Golf Course’.

Serapong Course at Singapore’s Sentosa Golf Club top out the top prize at the 10th annual gala awards.

Greg Norman, who has been a regular name in the headlines for LIV golf, picked up the ‘Golf Course Designer of the Year’.

Norman wasn’t the only LIV-related win of the night. LIV Golf Adelaide took ‘World’s Best Golf Event of the Year’, and LIV Golf took the ‘World’s Best Golf Innovation Award’.

Europe was in the spotlight with Portugal named ‘World’s Best Golf Destination’, and The Algarve’s Quinta do Lago – South Course claiming ‘Europe’s Best Golf Course’. Dunas Golf Course, Terras da Comporta collected two best newcomer categories: ‘Europe’s Best New Golf Course’ and ‘World’s Best New Golf Course’.

Chris Frost, Managing Director, World Golf Awards, said: “Abu Dhabi has proven to be a world-class destination for what has been a magnificent gathering of the global golf tourism industry to mark our 10th anniversary of recognising excellence in golf tourism. We have had the privilege of recognising the leading golf courses, hotels, resorts, designers and tour operators from across the world and my congratulations to each of them.”
