We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Greenkeeper to join our team at The Pines Golf Course in Whangarei Heads, Northland. We require a person to oversee our beautifully located course, whilst inputting into the ongoing maintenance and development of the course. This is a fulltime position. We are also prepared to look at a potential part-time role if the right applicant applies. As the Greenkeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the pristine condition of our golf course, ensuring our members and visitors enjoy an exceptional golfing experience.
What you’ll be doing
- Overseeing all aspects of our greens
- Operating various grounds equipment and machinery
- Identifying and addressing any issues or problems with the course, such as irrigation, drainage, weed control and greens
- Participating in the planning of ground’s maintenance and improvement projects with the course convenor and our passionate group of volunteers
- Adhering to health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
What we’re looking for
We are looking for a qualified person to look after the health of our greens whilst inputting into the ongoing maintenance and development of the course by working closely with our course convenor and our group of volunteers.
- Previous experience as a Greenkeeper or in a similar ground’s maintenance role is essential
- Knowledge of golf course maintenance practices and techniques
- Proficiency in operating various grounds equipment and machinery
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a high-quality golf course
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in horticulture, turf management, or a similar field
