Ryan Fox

Ryan Fox is putting his golf clubs to work for the climate.

Foxy’s model is simple. A clean scorecard funds real-world climate action. The Kiwi pro, son of All Black legend Grant Fox and a regular on the PGA Tour and DP World Tour, has pledged $1,000 for every bogey-free round he plays in 2026.

The pledge sits inside Sport One, Carbon Zero (SOCZ), a climate movement backed by more than 100 Olympians, Paralympians and professionals. Alongside Foxy are fellow Kiwi Olympic gold medallist Hamish Kerr and Wimbledon quarter-finalist Lulu Sun, plus global names including basketball icon Pau Gasol, sailor Hannah Mills and canoe slalom great Jessica Fox.

SOCZ is powered by High Impact Athletes, the athlete-led charity founded by Kiwi Olympians Marcus Daniell and Hugo Inglis. The fund targets sport’s biggest emissions drivers: aviation, maritime shipping, stadium infrastructure and energy. Rather than offsetting past emissions, it funds the policy work and technology breakthroughs needed to decarbonise the future of sport.

100% of athlete and supporter contributions are routed to four organisations independently vetted by Giving Green: Opportunity Green (aviation and shipping policy), Clean Air Task Force (zero-carbon fuels and grid innovation), Future Cleantech Architects (low-carbon cement and steel for stadiums), and Project InnerSpace (next-generation geothermal).

Research shows athletes often stay silent on climate for fear of being called hypocrites. Through Foxy One, Carbon Zero, Ryan Fox is pioneering evidence-based climate leadership in sport.Back Foxy’s climate play: pledge a few bucks per bogey-free round, or chip in a one-off donation at socz.team/foxy.
