Far out to the east of Hawke’s Bay wine country, Cape Kidnappers Golf Course sits atop rolling hills and rugged cliffs that give way to vast sea views and an ever-present horizon.
Cape Kidnappers Golf Course has 2 positions available for experienced Greenkeepers, reporting directly to and working closely with the Assistant Course Manager. We are seeking professionals with proven dedication to the industry to continue to grow their career on our championship course.
About the Role:
The Greenkeeper will assist with all facets of turf management and course presentation.
This includes:
· Upkeep of all areas of play within the golf course.
· Routine maintenance of greens, tees, bunkers, fairways, roughs and other areas of play.
· Applying pesticide applications as necessary.
· Helping with Irrigation repairs and maintenance when required.
· Assisting with other golf course construction projects.
About You:
The successful applicant will need to have:
- A turf management certificate
- Good communication skills, be reliable, enthusiastic, energetic and a good team player.
- You will need to be able to follow instructions and operate machinery safely.
- The job also requires you to be fit and healthy (this is a highly physical job).
- A minimum of 3 years previous experience in golf course maintenance and working with relevant equipment.
- A passion the game of golf is a distinct advantage!
